Where Luxury Begins, What The World Wants Next — that is the slogan of Ginza Six, the largest commercial project in Tokyo’s famed Ginza shopping district, which opened its doors recently. More than 240 fashion and luxury brands from around the world, including Dior, Valentino, Celine, Saint Laurent and Van Cleef & Arpels, are represented in 47,000 sq ft of retail space inside a structure designed by architect Yoshio Taniguchi. Ginza Six also promotes traditional Japanese art with its in-house Noh theatre, while its members-only Lounge Six provides services in multiple languages, F&B packages in partnership with its dining outlets, personal grooming and make-up services, and cultural activities. An opening exhibition featured the works of Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama and there was a pop-up store selling merchandise based on her iconic motifs.
